Michael Chase Johnson

International Program Director, The Lark Theatre Co, Michael directs, dramaturges & produces new plays among other responsibilities such as collaborative translations, international and intercultural play & playwright exchanges & collaborations, international residencies.

Academic involvements include Associate Professor of Theatre Movement, Assoc. Chair & Director of BA Theatre Program & Assoc. Dean of Human Relations, U of Wisconsin; full time faculty at National Theatre conservatory, Denver Center theatre Co,; Guest Instructor U of California, San Diego, U of Utah, U of Minnesota, Yale School of Drama, Aspen Music Festival, Theatre Nepean of Sydney, State Theatre School of Gothenburg, Sweden, Toi Whakaari, Drama School of New Zealand, Shanghai Theatre Academy, Moscow Actors Union.

Stage credits
The Alarm Clock(China), Dog & His Master(NY), All My Sons (New Zealand). Screenplay collaboration with Luoyong Wang "The Temple". Michael's short play The Half Truth '99was featured at the New Play Development Project, ATHE conference and will be published in an anthology of new plays by Routledge.
