Asad A. Lalljee

Asad Lalljee brings several years of publishing, marketing and business development experience, both internationally and domestically, to his role as Literary Director. Lalljee currently works with McCann-Erickson as a Management Representative, where he's part of the Verizon Wireless business. He previously served as the Marketing Director for Carnot Books USA, the U.S. subsidiary to the French-owned Editions Carnot.
Originally from Bombay, Asad holds a BA in Economics from the University of Bombay. He worked with the Bombay-based Advertising and Marketing Associates for five years, before coming to the U.S. to complete an Masters degree in Marketing Communications and Advertising from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. Upon completion of his degree, Lalljee worked with Hill, Holiday, Connors, Cosmopulos where he worked on accounts ranging from electronic and service-industry companies including: Minolta Corporation, Loews Group of Hotels, Union Bank of Switzerland, American Lung Association, PriceWaterhouse Coopers, and FBR. He later worked with RDA International, based in NY on the Sony Electronics and Computer Associates business.
As an independent consultant, Asad has worked with clients in helping to establish their businesses locally and/or globally. On behalf of clients, like India Book House and its brands like Amar Chitra Katha, he's worked on market-entry strategy and implementation, operations development, integrated branding programs, event-based ventures, and special sales. Since 2005 Lalljee has represented Marg Publishing, India premier and most respected publishing program, establish its international footprint. Lalljee has been working with the IAAC since 2003.
