FOR UNICEF'S 40TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION AT THE UNITED NATIONS, ASHA WROTE AND SANG ACCOMPANIED BY A CHORUS OF CHILDREN INCLUDING THE GIRL SCOUTS OF AMERICA. AS AN ACTIVE PARTICIPANT ON THE ARTISTS COMMITTEE OF THE GLOBAL FORUM FOR SPIRITUAL AND PARLIAMENTARY LEADERS, ASHA TAUGHT AND COMMUNICATED WITH SCHOOL CHILDREN ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT THROUGH HER MUSIC AND DANCE AT THE SHIMANE ARTS CONFERENCE IN JAPAN (1992). ON THE INTERNATIONAL ADVISORY COUNCIL OF UNITED EARTH AND THE INTERNATIONAL BOARD OF EARTH TRAIN, ASHA WAS INVITED BY CLAES NOBEL TO SING AT THE OPEN AIR CONCERT IN VIENNA FOR THE CHILDRENS CONFERENCE ON HUMAN RIGHTS WHICH RAN PARALLEL TO THE U.N.CONFERENCE ON HUMAN RIGHTS IN 1993..

THAT SAME YEAR, ASHA SANG AT THE GLOBAL FORUM - KYOTO CONFERENCE WHERE SHE ALSO TAPED AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH PRESIDENT MIKHAIL GORBACHEV.
