Director's Bio:

Amit Dutt is an independent filmmaker originally from Kolkata is now a US resident. He is trying to introduce the unconventional style of Digital Filmmaking to Bengali cinema. 'Robibar Bikalbela' is his first US production.


Film Synopsis:

In the early 1970's,Kolkata and the state of Bengal in India witnessed the uprising of a violent Marxist-Leninist movement which was quelled in the mid 1970's. In the aftermath of that violent and unstable period, the film explores the fate of an individual - how his life changes and gets intertwined with others, and how he comes to terms with his own existential integrity.
