In an island beyond hope.....Soccer was their salvation
Told through the stories of five former prisoners, this is the story of political activists sent to the notorious Robben Island prison in the 1960s by the apartheid regime, who rise above their incarceration by creating a football league and finding an outlet for their passion and commitment to discipline through the Beautiful Game.

Junaid Ahmed is a graduate of the University of KwaZulu Natal where he read for a BA (Honors) degree in Drama. During the past seventeen years Ahmed has been writing, directing and producing docu-drama's, short films and documentaries. Ahmed has produced and directed productions for Channel 4, the Discovery Channel and South African broadcasters. His award winning films include IQAKAMBA- HARD BALL, which he wrote and directed. This film won Best Sports documentary at the FICTS festival in Milan in 1996. LUCKY, a short film that he produced was nominated for the 2006 BAFTA Best Short film award and has subsequently won Best Short Film at over 38 international film festivals, including Clermont Ferrand, Cinequest San Jose and Aspen Shortsfest. Ahmed is presently developing the romantic comedy STOCKHOLM, ZULULAND- a co-production with Bob Film Sweden. He has also played a leading role in the transformation of the South African film industry post apartheid. During 1996 to 1998, he was appointed by the South African Minister of Arts and Culture onto the Board of the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF). Ahmed's company Fineline Productions is the recipient of substantial government funding to produce four feature films over the next three years.

Conesty is a dialogue between a kidnapper played by a theatre actor Shakir Khan and his victim played by an NSD actor Omi.Its a story of trust and betrayal

Baba AzmiBaba Azmi is an Indian film cinematographer and a family member of the Akhtar-Azmi family. He is the child of the late poet Kaifi Azmi. He is brother to the famous bollywood actress Shabana Azmi and brother in law of Javed Akhtar. Baba was always inclined on working behind the camera as a noted cinematographer. He has used his lenses in films like Arjun, Beta, Dil, Tezaab, Mr India, Akele Hum Akele Tum and Pukar. Baba began as an assistant director to Chetan Anand and recently directed Kaifi Azmi's compilation of poem Pyar Ka Jashn.
