What does being Indian American mean to you?

It means being proud of both my heritage as well as my adoptive country. I am an American with an Indian heritage. I am intensely involved with life in the United States and simultaneously keep in touch with my roots.

Executive Director and Founding member of the Indo-American Arts Council (New York, NY), Aroon Shivdasani is passionate about its mission to build an awareness of Indian artists and artistic disciplines (performing, visual, literary and folk arts in North America) as well as nurturing and promoting emerging artists from the Indian subcontinent.
